Whisky and ice and everything nice!
My interest in whisky really evolved after I’ve graduated from university. Long gone are the days when I was living for a glass of Jack and moved onto a more sophisticated range of blended scotch whiskies. *self-proclaimed whisky expert over here* For some young man, whisky is a way to adulthood. It’s an experience that is different each time you enjoy a rich taste of it. *pours himself another glass*
I was so thrilled when Label 5 invited me to their pop-up event at Boxpark Shoreditch. I had the opportunity to taste their blended scotch whisky, as well as trying my hand at graffiti art under the guidance of Grafitti Kings. *instantly becomes a fan* Grafitti Kings once ran a workshop for the cast of Suicide Squad. Therefore, I was writing down all the questions I was about to ask them in preparation for my one-man Harlequeen show. ANYWAYS, back to street art… *scrolls down*
One of the highlights from this pop-up event was my hands-on experience at a one-to-one session with the world-leading street art collective Grafitti Kings. As someone who has never sprayed paint on a wall, this was a rather amusing activity!*couldn’t contain his excitement*
The artists taught me tips and tricks on how to get the precision right. Also, I was able to give my own take on street art. *yasss*
In terms of overall experience, I give the Label 5 pop-up event a thumbs up! *yay* The cocktails were mouthwatering, whilst graffiti workshop kept me entertained until the very last minute. Therefore, I’m so looking forward to seeing what these guys are going to do next!
