Sometimes, I wish I had a time machine. I wish I had the ability to revisit all of these beautiful memories that are stored in my head. A few days ago, my aunt was visiting me for the weekend. We spent those very few days indulging in some Belgian food, visiting several museums and watching fireworks at Battersea Park. *hashtag bonfire night* However, my mind this whole time was somewhere else. But that story is for another time… In the meantime, let’s talk about style.
One of my favourite things about this season is having an excuse to buy a new jacket and a few sweatshirts. *sorry credit card* Winter is coming. Therefore, it’s time to add some layers to your seasonal wardrobe. Who’s with me?
Back in September, I showed you my new varsity jacket which I got from Members Only e-commerce store. It’s such a classic piece that I’ve decided to snag another jacket from their latest collection. I picked their iconic racer jacket in white because it’s such a standout piece that goes well with pretty much everything. So, I paired it with a grey sweatshirt and white trainers because I’m a huge fan of neutral tones this season. *aka a huge sneakers fan over here haha* This overall look is perfect for a casual day out with friends and family! You can also wear it all black underneath or complimented with your favourite pair of jeans.
What do you think of this look? What jackets are you sporting this season? Let me know in the comments section below!
Here are a few photos from my trip to Brussels this past weekend and what an incredible experience that was! As my first solo trip in a while, I had the opportunity to make new friends, see new places and have a crazy fun time. So, with that said… On Friday, I met my Airbnb host and his friends. We played music and talked until the early hours on Saturday. *oops*
The following day, I decided to explore some of the touristy sights of Brussels. From Grand Place to the Royal Palace, Brussels really boasts of culture and history. The city centre was super touristy, so it took me a while to find a place where I could just chill and have some local cuisine.
Later that day, I met my friend who I first met in Lisbon. *Eurovision bro alert* We indulged in some Belgian waffles (pictured below), traditional blond beer and even managed to have gin on tap at one of the PR events nearby. So much fun!
If there’s a support group for people who consume way too many sweets, I’d like to be a part of it! *joins the cake eaters anonymous* As someone who likes cakes and all other desserts under the sun, I can help it but indulge in every icing and cream that comes with it. *oops* From cupcakes to doughnuts, there are plenty of choices out there but where’s good to go in our fabulous London town? Where can we get good quality cakes that would please everyone’s sugar palet? Well, let me tell you about this one place.
Several weeks ago, Ed and I visited Flavourtown Bakery to try their best-in-town cupcakes. Situated near the Parson’s Green tube station, Flavourtown Bakery is an award-winning cake shop. They produce cupcakes, cakes and brownies using only the finest ingredients out there. Therefore, these treats always taste fresh and delicious. *heaven for your taste buds*
I couldn’t resist my temptation to try some of their latest cupcakes. So, I’ve picked the Pumpkin sPie one because I’m a PSL freak and the Cookie Doughnut one because… who wouldn’t? *feels slightly greedy* Both cupcake toppings were full of flavour, whilst the base just melted in my mouth. I’ve tasted a lot of cupcakes in my life and I can confirm that these were really exceptional. It’s fascinating how quality ingredients and attention to detail can make such a difference in the overall tasting experience. *orders a few more to takeaway*
Flavourtown Bakery is an ideal place for those who like good quality cakes or just want to have a little something to go with their coffee. So, if you’re around Fulham – make sure to pop in for a cake or two. Ed and I will surely be back very soon. Halloween-inspired confections? Yasss gawd! *clicks publish and eats another unicorn cupcake*
Timberland is the brand that I was obsessing over since day one. Seeing other male fashion bloggers sporting their latest pair of Timberlands has made me so determined to work with them that this has become the ultimate goal of mine. *fangirling is an understatement* So, two years later and I’m finally starting my first ever campaign with one of the most admired brands on the high street! *bam* But before I get into this, let’s go back in time…
It’s been over seven years since I moved to London. Years went by and I’m still fascinated by this wonderful city. However, my beginnings were not as glamorous as they are now. From fighting for survival in Elephant and Castle to commuting to work every morning from Greenwich, I lived my first 5 years in South East London. This area shaped my understanding of the big city life and the struggles of living independently. *mum, where are thou?!* I spent the first few years exploring my local areas and making friends with people who showed me the best that these places have to offer.
My life in London really took off when I moved to Fitzrovia in 2016. Living in Zone 1 has really made a huge difference in my career and social life. But everything would not be the same if I didn’t take that night bus to SE7. *ahhh*
Roaming Canning Town with Kojo Funds!
This month, Timberland released a new shoe that is all about roaming and exploring the city life. They are running a campaign in partnership with a London based afro swing artist, Kojo Funds, who revisited the area where he grew up and important places within the area. He shared his thoughts on how the area influenced him and his music today.
In this video, Kojo Funds is wearing the same pair of CityRoam™ Alpine Chukkas as I do in this post. These chukkas are inspired by Timberland’s iconic Adventure 2.0 Cupsole range. The high-rebound cushioning and comfort really make this pair a good companion when out and about all day.
Check out the short film featuring Kojo Funds and Timberland below:

The London Fashion Week SS19 has come to an end. All of my blogger friends were out and about, sporting killer fashions and living their ultimate best lives. I, on the other hand, spent most of my weekend being lazy, eating too much food and re-watching episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race. *oops, not again* However, I needed this time to recharge my batteries and gear up for another week full of surprises. *stays optimistic* Bring it on!
It’s been a while since the last “Spice and Shuffle” playlist. *cough* Four months and seventeen days, to be exact. Therefore, it’s been months of great new music that I really want to share with you guys. So, this time, I packed the 11th edition of “Spice and Shuffle” with jams that will give you all kinds of feels. If you’re not familiar with some of these tracks, they may become your new anthems this season. Trust and believe!
The cover star of this playlist is called snny. Lately, I’ve been drawn so much by his poetic narratives and chilled musical vibes. His music really makes me dive into the world of self re-discovery and liberation. “Wild’ by snny is song number 8 but please take your time and check out this debut EP here. Also, other new artists to watch on this playlist are West Coast Massive (2), AMY MYÜ (4), Toddla T (10), Art Bastian (23) and Ah-Mer-Ah-Su (27).
So, without further distraction, here’s the 11th edition of “Spice and Shuffle” Spotify playlist series. Curated by yours truly.
