Seaham in Red.

Another London Fashion Week has come to an end. *whew* It feels like it’s been just a couple of weeks since the last one but here we are again, celebrating 5 days of killer fashions from all over the world. My weekend was packed with endless burger brunches, blogger hangouts and fancy INTO lounges to name a few. Therefore, I’m super excited to finally take it easy and have some me-time for the next few days. *puts on a kettle and binge-watches YouTube videos*

In a great tradition of my own fashion week trends, I decided to wear red again! *yay* But this time, I ditched the skirt and went for a designer bag instead. *feels all grown up*

I’ve been collaborating with John Smedley for quite some time but never had a chance to showcase it on my blog… until now! Their SS18 knits have a very distinct contemporary appeal to it which perfectly compliments my existing spring/summer wardrobe.

In this shoot, I paired John Smedley’s Seaham knit with my favourite loose carrot-fit trousers and black leather shoes. Seaham knit is remarkably soft to wear on the skin because it’s made from the finest Sea Island Cotton. John Smedley has over 230 years of experience, crafting some of the best knitwear pieces in the industry. So, it was an obvious choice to go for this fashion week.

To finish off this look, I picked up my brand new tote bag from Aspinal of London. This black leather bag perfectly fits my whole life in it… and then some!

What do you think of this look? Would you wear any of these pieces? Please do let me know in the comments section below!

Truth Over Glory

The Edwardian Paradise.

Last year, I had the opportunity to explore the idyllic Forest of Dean and see the true beauty of the British countryside. From hiking to camping, being in nature triggers my thought processes and forces answers to questions like: “what is the meaning of my life?” or “how can I make things work better for me?” – questions I struggle to answer when stuck in my daily routine.

As a savvy adventurer, I often pick up my Oyster card and go as far as it can take me. So, several weeks ago, I decided to visit Hampstead and see what else this area has to offer. I stumbled across this breathtaking Georgian arbour and terrace in the Hill Garden (pictured above). It was surprisingly quiet and empty for a Saturday afternoon. *probably because it was raining, d’uh* But that didn’t stop me from scouting around for hours and catching up with my blogger mate Ollie.

I was wearing my favourite parka from TOG24. The rugged waterproof fabric, teamed with a snug Sherpa-and-quilted lining and sandwiched with a layer of synthetic insulation which keeps out the chills. Therefore, this parka is ideal for long walks during winter months. *brrr*

Hampstead Haze.

It seems like low temperatures are going to stay in England for another month. *cries inside* So, I had no other choice but to upgrade my winter wardrobe once again with layers that can weather the cold. I usually go for a leather jacket or a thick sweater but I think it’s time to get some serious winter gear.

The other day, I popped onto TOG24 website to pick up a few pieces to keep me warm and cosy until mid-March. *because it might be the coldest one in years, yikes* Luckily, I found some pretty cool pieces. I paired up this puffy red jacket (pictured above) with my favourite denim and black boots. The jacket itself is a great long-term investment because it costs less than most comparable jackets in the market (under £100).

The textures play so well together and the way the bright jacket boosts the overall outfit is just amazing. So, if you’re looking to upgrade your wardrobe – definitely check TOG24 and indulge yourself in an extensive collection of winter clothes!

Pickup meets Lifestyle.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you probably saw me having the time of my life at the Mercedes-Benz event last week… Drinks, canapés, art installations and Tinie Tempah – oh, yasss! *rewatches his insta stories all over again* I had the unique opportunity to experience the brand new Mercedes-Benz X-Class before everyone else. This was my first ever car launch event and it exceeded all of my expectations!

The Mercedes-Benz X-Class is uniquely versatile. It can be used as a rugged, all-terrain pickup but also as a vehicle, perfect for urban lifestyles. Tough and stylish… Sounds just like me, right?

The event was held in South East London’s old Printworks factory. There were a total of 6 X-Class vehicles on display. One was used as an art object, bathed in changing lights and projected from a kaleidoscope. Another X-Class was utilised as a bar assistant filled with beer and ice, whilst the blue version of the pickup was used as a DJ stand for the exhibition area! So, there was a lot to experience through the night. *scrolls down to see more*

Everyone from our blogging community was there and we haven’t had so much fun since the Patron Tequila event last summer. Although we won’t bring this up again, okurrr?! *tries to erase memories from his drunken antics, yikes*

I can’t thank Mercedes-Benz enough for including me in this event! Check out the teaser trailer for The X-Class here:

Little Wins.

It may be the end of January but it’s never too late to start your fitness journey this year. I believe that it takes roughly 18 days to form a habit. So, I collected a list of 10 easy health and fitness habits that you should get yourself into right away! Are you ready?! Here you go:

  1. Wake up 2-3 hours before work and do something you like. I, personally, like to go to the gym in the morning, then make myself a lush breakfast and even do a bit of work on my blog/Instagram.
  2. Pack your gym bag first thing in the morning.
  3. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day and have a full glass of water close to you at all times.
  4. Make sure you have snacks in between your meals. *sips on a green tea*
  5. Fill your work desk drawer with healthy snacks like dark chocolate, nuts, and protein-rich bars.
  6. Spend part of your lunch break walking around the area.
  7. Plan your weekly meals in advance and spend at least one-to-two hours cooking your meals for the week. I usually meal prep on a Sunday. *hint hint*
  8. Avoid eating late at night. So, make sure you have your last meal at least 2 hours before bed.
  9. Log all your data onto the Fitwell app, such as water intake, meals, exercises and weight. Have you tried their personal fitness coach feature yet?
  10. Sign up for an exercise class and commit to it. This year, I really want to get better at yoga. So, I already booked my yoga classes for the next 3 months. *sigh*

There you have it! Which of these habits do you already have in place and which ones are you are planning to form in the next couple of weeks? I’d like to hear from you in the comments section below! *wink*

Introducing… HIIT Sportswear!

The thing that often fails me in life is my workout gear. Within the first few weeks, my gym clothes often wear off, get saggy and even burst at the seams. *tries to stay calm* Therefore, it’s super hard to find apparel that is durable yet versatile.

Recently, I was introduced to HIIT Sportswear, a brand new performance and leisurewear collection for men. Engineered for performance, HIIT Sportswear is designed to meet the needs of the modern man. *that’s me, whoop whoop*

Josh ‘JP’ Patterson from Made in Chelsea is behind this exciting new project. As an ex-professional rugby player and huge fitness fan, Josh has used exercise to help overcome anxiety and depression. So, his aim here is to help other men to deal with these issues.

In the past, I used to struggle with anxiety and stress. But now I alleviate these feelings by exercising daily and eating healthily. Therefore, I’m 110% with this brand because men’s mental health is not something that gets discussed between us very often. *two thumbs up*

I wanted to show some love to a brand that I’m so happy to cross paths with. If you have a minute, you can browse through the entire collection on Burton Menswear London. For less than £100, you can easily update your workout gear with some good quality pieces, perfectly designed for outdoor and indoor exercise. *counts dancing in his bedrooms as an intense indoor workout*

Spice and Shuffle 09

Spice and Shuffle 09 Spotify playlist featuring Justin Timberlake, Cashmere Cat, Zedd, Diplo, Camila Cabello, Troye Sivan, Jax Jones, Kendrick Lamar and more. Blog by Skirmantas Petraitis

New Year. New Playlist!

I don’t know about you guys but I’m so glad that January is almost over! *whew* It’s such a long month, filled with gloomy days and post-holiday blues… Ain’t nobody got time for that! Therefore, I’m counting days until I get to wear fewer layers and spend more time outside with my favourite humans.

This month, I packed the 9th edition of “Spice and Shuffle” playlist series with some of my favourite songs from the last few weeks that have gotten my body moving… I mean, I was practically vogueing! Can you imagine?! Me performing a 2-hour Vegas residency at my desk, whilst my work colleagues are Snapchating their lives away. *too much sass for a Monday morning*

Artist of the month is Justin Timberlake. His latest album is dropping in the next few days but you can hear his new song “Filth” right here on “Spice and Shuffle 09”. Also, we have new songs by Cashmere Cat, Zedd, Diplo, Camila Cabello, Troye Sivan, Jax Jones and Kendrick Lamar, to name a few.

So, put on your favourite headphones and get into these sickening tunes. Here’s to another year of great music!

Don’t forget to follow Mr. Salt and Pepper’s Spotify profile to stay up-to-date with the latest music. I’m always up for hearing new music. So, please feel free to email me your suggestions!
