Well, I finally made it home for Christmas and couldn’t be any more excited! *does a quirky Christmas dance number again* As you probably know, I’ll be spending the next few days eating my body weight in Nana’s home-made fish cutlets and explaining my relatives what I do for a living… But trust me, it takes me even longer to define the word ‘influencer’! *tries to make sense of every word but fails miserably with Google Translate*
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to enjoy a snow day in Kaunas. Everyone knows that capturing the beauty and magic of snow is rather difficult. Pictures often end up being overexposed and blurry. *the struggle is real* So, I brought along my one and only mirrorless camera for this experience and couldn’t be any more happy with the results. You can see every single snowflake whilst the portrait lens perfectly catches the right object (a.k.a. me, the king of this idyllic blogging oasis).
Since I moved to London, snow was a very rare occurrence that doesn’t last long. Therefore, seeing so much snow yesterday awoke a kid in me. I matched the enthusiasm of kids building snowmen and making snow angels nearby. *refuses to ever grow up*
On December 24th, 2016, I published my first ever blog post on Mr. Salt and Pepper. *throwback alert* I had no idea that my whole life will change so much in such short period of time. Since I was 14, blogging was something that I really enjoyed doing. But only last year I had the confidence to do it properly.
Thanks to my blog, I was brave enough to leave the job I didn’t love to pursue a career in influencer marketing and blogging. I overcome my obstacles and I can proudly say that I finally live the life I always wanted to live.
One of the most valuable pieces of advice I received this year: everyone’s journey is different. Take your time to find what you love and just go for it. But don’t compare yourself to others – focus on YOUR journey!
Here’s to even better year two. I’m sure it’s going to be a fun ride. Merry Christmas everyone!
Gifting is hands down my favourite part of the holiday season. Seeing a loved one’s face light up when opening a gift that I put so much thought and effort into is just priceless. There’s nothing more important than sharing these kinds of memories with my close friends and family, especially when I don’t get to visit them that very often.
Next week, I’m going back to Lithuania for Christmas. So, I’ll be spending seven days talking about London and explaining everyone what a ‘blogger does’ for a living. Sounds fun, right? But on a serious note, I’m so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful and supportive family. I couldn’t imagine the Christmas holiday without them! *grabs a tissue*
This season, I picked some of my favourite brands and put together a last-minute Christmas gift guide. Are you ready?! *plays cheesy Christmas songs in the background*
A Show of Stars.
It’s shocking to know that my Nan has never been in London. *shook* So, as her favourite grandson, I decided to look out for the brand that celebrates this delightfully whimsical world. Molton Brown has gift sets rich with seasonal luxuries and London in mind. Their festive wrapping is British-made in bespoke colours like bitter chocolate and celebrated in a signature grosgrain knot. I opted for their vintage with elderflower candle, shower gel and lotion set.
The Rare Blend.
Crafted in the heart of Jamaica, this rare golden rum blend is rich in mahogany hue, confident woody character and smooth robust taste. The Appleton Estate Rare Blend is produced in the lush Nassau Valley in Jamaica, which is the oldest rum distillery with over 265 years of experience. Therefore, this is a must-have item for any rum fan. Starts at £34.99.
The Cornerstone of a Great Day!
There’s no need for introduction, Cornerstone is my top shaving supply service of 2017! *once again, makes bold statements without any regrets* Cornerstone’s gift sets start at £30 and include a personalised razor handle, set of 6 blades, face scrub, shave gel, post-shave balm and travel blade cover. On top of that, the recipient will receive a £10 gift card to use on their next shaving set. What a wonderful time to master the art of shaving!
Skin ageing. Reversed.
Based on one of the most recent and important anti-ageing discoveries, Dr. Levy’s skincare products have been a vital part of my daily skincare regiment for months. Proven to boost your stem cell activity, Dr. Levy’s Booster Serum attracts and retains precious moisture to give that sought-after ‘plumping’ effect. Shea butter, vitamin E and aloe leaf juice work to calm and condition, while strengthening your skin’s defences. *found the secret to his eternal youth* Even though the price might be a little bit steep but your mother will thank you for the years to come!
An Inseparable Pair.
Sometimes, my obsession with smartphone cases and Apple Watch straps get a little bit out of hand. *orders one too many* From artist collections to make-your-own ones, there are many options for you to create that perfect gift for a tech-savvy loved one. Case Station currently runs daily Christmas deals and giveaways. So, you must check these guys out if you haven’t already! Starts at £19.99.
No Ordinary Designer Label.
Rugged good looks and sleek design make this Ted Baker watch a perfect companion for both your casual days out and formal suit and tie events. A coin-edge bezel rounds a sleek gunmetal watch marked with clean bar indexes and a date window on the grey sunray dial… Or also known as, a timeless timepiece for a millennial-mindset individual. *thumbs up*
The Whiskey Collector.
Every man in my family is a whiskey fan. So, there’s a huge pressure for me to find a good quality whiskey that is rich in taste. Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is ideal for whiskey lovers wishing to grow their collection. This double barrelling of mature Woodford Reserve allows the spirit to extract an additional amount of soft, sweet oak character. The result is a complex
flavour of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple and spices with a long, creamy finish and lingering hints of honeyed apple. Priced at £66.
Last weekend, my best friend Renata (@iamrenny) came down to visit me and have a jolly good time in the capital. In just two days, we ate our body weight in pizza, drank copious amounts of mulled wine and froze ourselves to death, whilst trying to figure out which ice skating rink to go to! *puts on an extra layer* It was the coldest weekend of the year. But that didn’t stop us scouting about and getting all excited for Christmas.
On Saturday, we visited the Nordic-inspired forest at Broadgate. The place was giving me some serious Christmas market vibes. Therefore, I couldn’t resist taking pictures with my insta camera as well. *snap snap* There’s something about polaroid images that make experiences worth experiencing and life worth living. Don’t you agree?
From smart to casual, it’s the party season!
Words cannot explain how excited I am to party this festive season with my fellow blogger friends and work colleagues! *does an awkward office party dance number* With Christmas parties taking place almost every single night of the week, I can’t help it but stock my wardrobe with some seriously versatile pieces that work really well with my personal style.
As you probably know, I dress for the weekend every day. I’m not a fan of suits and ties but I love getting sophisticated whenever I can. By carefully selecting items that match my style, I can successfully nail that tricky “smart-casual” dress code memo I receive in my inbox. Debenhams is my go-to place for smart to casualwear pieces that are perfect to mix and match for the party season. For instance, I paired a sharp blazer with jeans and swapped formal tie for a geometric print dress scarfand an open collar shirt. The overall outfit looks smart and it doesn’t get out of my personal style. So, I’m stoked to twerk my way through the party season!
What do you guys think? Would you wear this outfit at your Christmas party?
… or otherwise known as, the most life-changing years of my entire existence!
Last weekend, I turned 27 years old. It was both a nerve-wracking and exciting time for me as I was patiently waiting to turn this age for years. Why, you might be asking? Well, I’ve just entered my Saturn return phase! *ermmm, Saturn what?!* From now until my 31st birthday, I’ll be going through some changes that may or may not be that life-changing.
Saturn Return is an astrological phenomenon, best known for shaking up your entire existence. It’s the moment when Saturn completes its orbit around the sun, landing in the same spot it was in when you were born. The whole process takes about 29 and a half years to complete but the influence of it is considered to begin when you turn 27. *yikes* However, Saturn return will not take you into a new era of maturity with a snap of a finger. From your job to your relationships – everything in your life will be tested. So, be prepared… I mean, who am I kidding??? We are all doomed! *hides under the bed*
Whilst it can be a stressful thing to go through but all these experiences can lead you to be a stronger and happier person. I’m so so excited to see what is coming my way in the next 4 years. Hopefully, it’s going to be a fun ride!
I’m no life expert (actually, the opposite) but I want to share some insights of what I’ve learned so far and what I expect to do during my Saturn return phase. Are you ready?!
So, here are my 27 things I’ve learned in my 20s so far and hoping to implement on my Saturn return *puts on a kettle* :
You will make a lot of mistakes. But remember to use those bad experience to your advantage and learn from them.
Surround yourself with people who lift you up, not drag you down.
Take your time to find your tribe. Then nurture them with your presence.
When it comes to your job… Be patient and work hard.
Play harder than #TeamBritain at the World Cup.
Live life on a budget. You may not be able to save a lot of money in one monthly paycheck but putting some money aside each month can go a long way. Have you heard of Monzo?!
Love yourself. Never let anyone judge you for the way you look or the way you act. Therefore, show them the door!
Treat yourself at least once a week. Whether it’s a Starbucks or street food market on a Friday, make that little investment to your overall happiness.
Ask a lot of questions. Being curious is the way forward to success.
The best advice I have ever received: never take yourself too seriously.
Known fact: life goes faster as you get older. Therefore, be spontaneous and be present in your life.
Have a laugh, see point 10 again. Thank God I have a good sense of humour, people around me literally die… and live longer too! *giggles*
Life is too short for bad jobs, bad relationships and bad circumstances. You’re in charge of your own destiny!
If you want something – don’t be afraid to ask for it, but make sure you are ready to give something back. Because… No one likes a user abuser. *wink wink nudge nudge*
Sometimes, silence is the best policy.
Gossiping is a really bad habit.
Go on a lot of dates! They may go nowhere or may go ALL THE WAY… But most importantly, have fun and don’t overthink things.
Explore the person you want to be and just go for it!
Think about life. Take a deep breath. *ommm*
Everything happens for a reason.
Staying in on a Friday night might be the best decision you’ve made all week.
That one special person might be closer than you think. Look around.
Age is just a number.
Never chase a trend. Be one!

About 7 years ago, I bought my first ever smartphone – the iPhone 4. *feels extremely nostalgic and old* The minute I opened that box, my shiny new device was paired with the best accessories one could find. From ultra slim transparent rubber bumpers to hard concrete-like covers, my precious iPhone was, is and will always be wrapped in the most trendy case out there. So, for a style-conscious individual like me, it’s an on-going journey to find the product that ticks all the right boxes.
Back in August, I introduced you to Case Station. Without a doubt, they produce the most durable and scratch-resistant smartphone cases in the market. You can choose from hundreds of designs or create your own using their built-in design studio. Therefore, the possibilities here are endless!
Just in time for Christmas, I had the opportunity to check out their new personalised Apple Watch straps. As an avid content creator, I decided to play around and create a unique design that showcases my own personal style. So, I picked images inspired by my London Fashion Week look shot way back in March and made some potential Mr. Salt and Pepper merch! *grows his empire, one design at a time*
Case Station currently runs an Apple Watch giveaway! One lucky winner will win the latest Apple Watch Series 3 and two personalised straps. So, click here to enter!
The most wonderful time of the year!
I’m not going to hide this… December is my favourite month of the year. Simply because A) it’s Christmas, and B) IT’S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!! *does a quirky birthday dance routine* As a true Sagittarian rebel, I embraced my free spirit by wearing a sequinned biker jacket that features multiple bolts of lightning and edgy buzzwords like “crash” or (even better) “burn“. I mean, can you get any more punk rock than that?! I don’t think so! The reds, greys and blacks of the jacket really compliment my custom-made smartphone case and Apple Watch strap. They surely stand out in this rather dark ensemble.
Don’t get me wrong – I do love a colourful look every now and then. But those of you who have followed me for the last couple of months know that I like to gravitate towards the dark and moody tones whenever I can. I think that living in London does play a big part in my ever-changing style, especially in the colder months of the year.
