Headlines and Deadlines.

London is a wonderful place. *makes a random statement* The other day, I was having a stroll down my new neighbourhood to catch some rays before the sunset. It was around 6 PM and the sun was still up, meaning the (actual) spring is just around the corner. So, I’ve decided to (randomly) stop by the newsagent on Chiltern Road and have a peek at the latest news. Erm… Long story short, the world is in chaos and confusion. *puts down a newspaper* Let me go back to my own little bubble and never come out. *lol*

Whilst walking around Marylebone, I was thinking about my life and asking myself… Am I going in the right direction? *looks both ways*

It’s been almost 4 months since I’ve been blogging full-time. I am sooo lucky to be able to make a living out of it, you have no idea! Last year, I realised that a comfortable 9-to-5 office job is just not for me at this moment in life. So, I had to take risks in order to find my happiness and fulfilment.

Also… These past 2-3 months, I was going through some big changes. I moved to Marylebone, ended all toxic relationships and invested my time in people who really care about my wellbeing. It’s not worth staying somewhere you don’t feel happy or sticking around people who drain you.

So, what is missing? To be quite honest… It would be nice to finally meet someone new.

… it pours!

A few days ago, I came back to London from sunny Valencia. It was around +25°C there, so it was a great opportunity for me to pull out my favourite pair of shorts and explore the city without carrying too many layers. *enjoyes a little preview to summer 2019*

Sadly, all good things come to an end and I had to force myself back to rainy London. *queue any song by Billie Eilish* I mean, I probably over exaggerated here because wherever I go in the world, I always miss being in London. It is the best city in the world (to me). Sometimes, I do feel a little bit tired of it but once I go abroad, I notice all the great things that London has to offer which I couldn’t find anywhere else. *sips Margaritas in Miami Beach but dreams about breakfast tea and crumpets*

As you probably know, it tips down in Britain 29% of the time. So, in order to prepare yourself for such rubbish weather, getting durable clothing is a must!

The other day, I was browsing the Zalando e-commerce site and found this lovely waterproof jacket from RAINS. It’s currently my favourite piece in my springtime wardrobe because it handles any kind of weather condition. Also, the pastel blue colour goes really well with both light and dark clothing. I complimented it with a pair of black high-top trainers from Diesel and a creamy crew neck sweatshirt from French Connection. What do you think of this look? Also, what are your go-to items on a rainy day? *forgets brolly at home, oops*

Inside Canali’s SS19 Collection

This blog post was sponsored by Canali. All views expressed here are my own.

London Fashion Week is just around the corner and I can’t help it but get myself in the full swing of all the latest SS19 collections. Recently, I’ve been glueing my eyes on Canali and their upcoming SS19 collection, called LUI (HE).

Pastel colours, earthy tones and contrasting patterns are leading their way throughout this entire collection… I mean, could this get any better?! *plans to spend every penny on his summer wardrobe* I’ve been a huge fan of Italian fashions since the dawn of time. Therefore, Canali has always been under my radar when it comes to sophisticated, good quality clothing.

Sartorial tradition used as an instrument to translate contemporary trends into garments and accessories that enclose the life of LUI, the modern Canali man. LUI (HE) is an eclectic- Intense and authentic with an open mind for trends, inspiration, and experimentation. Added to a great admiration for well-made curated pieces that are full of heritage.

Mr. Salt and Pepper picks!

So, without further ado, here are my top pics from LUI (HE) collection. I’m not going to lie, it was quite a challenge narrowing it down to just a few looks. *scrolls down to feast his eyes on some looks*

This wool-silk-linen bomber really stands out in this collection because of its denim-like effect and solid shirt collar. Looks really nice when complimented with a cotton shirt, flat-front trousers and derby shoes.
I’ve been a fan of technical fabric raincoat for quite some time. This one looks really good layered up with an earthy-toned blazer and a white t-shirt or a jumper. Formal trousers and sneakers are a plus!
Pastel cotton crewneck sweater, wool flat-front formal trousers and cotton-linen-wool slip-on shoes – perfect for a day out in the summer! *yaaas*
This single-breasted unlined blazer is one of my favourites this season because it can work really well on many occasions. Whether it’s paired with denim jeans or formal trousers, it would elevate the whole look regardless. So, great investment for seasons to come!
Last but not least, a good quality wool-silk-linen suit with a hint of casual will go a long way. As someone who dresses for the weekend every day, wearing an earthy-toned suit with casual pieces like a white t-shirt and trainers, will make you feel trendy yet smart.

Be sure to check out the full Canali’s LUI (HE) collection here. Let me know your favourites in the comments section below!

Out with the old, in with the new.

Oh, you guys, can I just say… Thank the lord January is finally over! *bye bye January blues* I spent these past 4 weeks house hunting all over London and it has never been so stressful!

Most places I was viewing were not great. From tiny rooms, rough neighbourhoods to strange landlords and their out-of-this-world house rules. At one point, I thought I’d pack my suitcase and fly across the world for a few months because I was not having it. However, in the end, I found a nice double room in Marylebone with lovely new housemates. BUT most importantly, I’m still a Zone 1 queen! *proudly retains his Central London status*

Now that this is out of the way, I can finally focus on my blog and all those exciting projects coming in 2019. Are you ready?

When moving to a new flat, I’ve found a new lease of life in my wardrobe. I have discovered old favourites that are ready to be paired with some new gems. So, I picked up a few items from Zalando e-commerce site. It’s my new favourite shopping destination because it sells great quality clothes at very affordable prices. It’s like a glass of fashion-Berocca, ready to upgrade your wardrobe.

From this post, you can tell that I’m all about earthy tones this season. Heritage barn jacket complemented with a colour block jumper, formal navy trousers and white high top trainers. I personally love my new white trainers from Calvin Klein Jeans. They’re so going to be featured in most of my SS19 looks! What do you think?

Spice and Shuffle 12

Ending 2018 with a jam-packet playlist!

I find it hard to believe that today is the last day of 2018. *shook* It feels like it was yesterday when I was dancing at Field Day Festival and doing my dream collaboration with Timberland. Time really flies!

To be honest, 2018 has been a rollercoaster year. So many ups and downs, from joy to tears, 2018 has propelled me to a stronger 2019. There are so many big changes coming my way in the next few weeks. From moving houses to new opportunities, I cannot wait to see how things will turn out for me in 2019. *hashtag new year new me, literally*

The 12th edition of “Spice and Shuffle” Spotify playlist is filled with my favourite songs from the past 3 months. When I sit down and put together these playlists, I try to select songs that go well with one another. Therefore, you’ll find songs with similar beats closer to each other.

The cover star of this playlist is Robyn. Her latest album is sooo good that it would be a crime not to add her to my playlist – it’s song number 2!

So, without further ado, here’s “Spice and Shuffle 12“. Hope you like it!

Don’t forget to follow Mr. Salt and Pepper’s Spotify profile to stay up-to-date with the latest music. I’m always up for hearing new music. So, please feel free to email me your suggestions!
