Cherry blossoms and hummingbirds.

Spring has finally arrived in London! I’ve spent the last several weeks ordering some new springtime essentials – from bright t-shirts, short shorts (almost as short as speedos, oops!) to tons of warm-weather accessories.

On a lovely Saturday afternoon, I pranced all the way to Notting Hill to visit local shops and take some pictures of this charming little area in London. I paired a bomber-style jacket featuring embroidered hummingbird detail with a classic blue shirt. I bought these sunglasses when I was visiting Barcelona last year. I’m not quite sure where exactly I got them but you can easily find almost identical ones everywhere on the High Street.

Book Your Lifestyle

Last week, I went to have a haircut at my local hair salon in Covent Garden – Concrete Hairdressing. I booked my appointment through Book Your Lifestyle. The service enables you to search and book spas/salons in your local area. This time, I really wanted to achieve a different sort of look. My hairdresser clipped my hair faded on the sides and kept short but voluminous on top. This style was inspired by the super trendy Pompadour Haircut.

Interesting fact: My blog title, Mr. Salt and Pepper, was actually inspired by my gorgeous hair. I was going grey ever since I was 16 years old. Therefore, everyone who noticed it, said to me “Hey, Mr. Salt and Pepper”.

Mission: Less flakes!

For those who suffer psoriasis or dandruff (guilty as charged), I’d strongly recommend using a NaturalTech Purifying Shampoo from Davines (picture and credits below). This shampoo contains Dandelion phytochemical, rich in polyphenols and sugars with an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ower. It also contains lavender, myrrh and sage essential oils.

My hairdresser recommended me to use this shampoo once a week as it keeps the moisture under my scalp for several days. After the first wash, my psoriasis has calmed down and is less visible. The irritation decreased quite significantly, which resulted in less itching (obvs). After years of battling psoriasis, I’ve finally found a very affordable product that actually works!
