An ode to all the flannel-shirt-wearing buffalo girls out there.
Several days ago, it was snowing in London – a rare occurrence in this humid little island – and by snowing, I mean, just a few snowflakes, less than what you see outside Topman on Oxford Street. *puts on the reading glasses* Cold weather in London happens for such a short period of time that people just stopped buying and wearing winter clothes. So why should they?
When the temperature goes above 10º, you’ll likely see me wearing a t-shirt and short shorts. Reasons: 1. To celebrate any climate change in this country, and, 2. To wear fewer clothes with any opportunity I have. I think number 2 is way more accurate and feasible, but that’s the way I am. Also, summer clothes are way more fun and exciting, am I right?!
(p.s. there’s also number 3 – no one can afford anything whilst living in London, but, shhh, it’s only between you and me, okurrr?)
Today’s look is very simple: buffalo check shirt, complimented with legging-like skinny jeans and *takes a deep breath* super amazing-gorgeous-trendy wheat nubuck boots. When I saw these Timberland-inspired boots from Zara, it was love at first sight – as if they read my mind and made this for me.
The buffalo check shirt is a staple piece to anyone’s wardrobe. It’s a must-have item, which could easily work with any look. You simply can’t go wrong with it, I mean it. H&M does really nice check shirts (and for less than £20), so shimmy your way down to your nearest store and snag this little gem. Links are below…
