Another fashion week has come to an end.
Twice each year, London Fashion Week lands in the city. Fashion designers and all sorts of style-obsessed creatures come out of their closets (literally) to showcase their fashion-forward looks for seasons to come. Last weekend, the city was booming with fashionistas from all over the world, serving larger-than-life realness to the world. I’ve met so many interesting people in the streets and at various events throughout the weekend that whose images I can’t wait to share.
For my first day at LFW, I decided to pair a tartan biker jacket from Sixth June with a trouser/skirt combo from ASOS. I felt like going reverse highland dress for this occasion because it’s very unconventional – just like me! #MarcJacobsEffect
When tech, beauty, and fashion come together.
Meitu. If you haven’t heard of it, you’re (most definitely) living under a rock. It’s the most popular Chinese app for selfies, which makes everyone look very smooth, innocent and cute. The app has become a worldwide sensation instantly. The guys who made this app now have a new smartphone coming up. The phone has a dual-pixel front-facing camera and AI feature that makes your selfies the best they can be.
I’ve been invited to their LFW event at Lights of Soho. I got to try Meitu’s new smartphone and I must admit – my selfies never looked this good! They also have a new app called MakeupPlus, which creates those perfect selfies for you. FaceTune what? Those days are long gone now.
The event featured live workshops, catwalk-inspired makeovers, celebrity panel discussions, an interactive photo space, a live streamed selfie wall and beauty tutorials from some of the world’s biggest influencers. Every fashion week there’s something cool going on at Lights of Soho and I’m already counting days until the next one!
