New Year. Same but slightly better me.
First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS! *throws confetti but hears crickets instead* I know, I’m sooo unfashionably late to kick off this new year. But it’s better late than never, right?
My last blog post was published a month ago and it felt like agesss. Blogging is something that I like to do every day and not doing it for so long was just mind-boggling. *feels lost in this world*
Also, I’m going to be brutally honest here… January is a depressing month! *sorry, not sorry* There are no public holidays to look forward to and the weather gets pretty grim on most days. *booo* So, I spent the first few weeks of January planning my year ahead and thinking of all the exciting collaborations I want to do in 2018. From overseas trips to up and coming fashion labels, this year is shaping up to be my biggest one yet! Are you ready?! #WatchThisSpace
Style Made Easy!
Several weeks ago, I was prancing my way through the winter sales in order to keep my January Blues at bay. *postpones his money-saving New Year’s resolutions until February* Whilst browsing online, I stumbled across The Idle Man’s AW17 collection. The thing I like about The Idle Man is that you’ll always find good quality clothes, designed to suit all styles and please all budgets. Their latest collection is filled with wintery textures, heavy layers and tonal pieces, which are perfect for everyday wearing.
This year, one of my New Year’s resolutions is to experiment more with my personal style. I want to mix formal wear with casual wear, whilst adding a few neutral tones to my overall look. So, I paired this large navy overcoat with grey long sleeve t-shirt and slim fit joggers to really make the navy colour stand out.
To complete this look, I wore black Derby brogue boots from Goodwin Smith because the boot season is not over just yet. *shamelessly takes every opportunity to wear boots* Oily pull-up leather teamed up with waxed twill and contrast colour heel makes this a wardrobe essential to any modern gent.
