It may come as no surprise, but I have made some New Year’s resolutions this year, and I’m planning to stick to them… pinky promise! cough cough fried chicken every now and then cough cough fried chicken every day cough cough

This year, unlike any other year, I’m planning to do things my own way. After working for a number of clients and brands alike, I’ve decided to take all that knowledge and turn it into something worthwhile.

Apart from that, there are several other things that I want to achieve this year. One of them is to become teetotal. *awkward silence* Like, seriously, go from the T to the total and that’s not me getting into this #DryJanuary craze. In the past, I’ve done several long-term detox periods, which have come to an end after my decision to go just for ‘one’ drink… and we all know that there’s no such thing as going for ‘one’ drink (ha, silly me). I’m still keen to keep my social life going as it is, however, this time I’m feeling much more determined and willing to witness my mates go drunk dumpster-diving with my sober eyes. Party!

Secondly, I want to stay more connected with my close friends and family. I feel like in the last few years I wasn’t as connected with my family as I should be. Those rare Skype calls once a month are really not enough, and my overall happiness reflects that. Time is the most valuable thing you can give to someone, and sharing that with the ones you love is priceless.

Last, but not least, 2017 is all about having that hot body. Not sure about my diet plans (back to the coughing part), but I’m keen to boost some daily protein intake and pump it like my rent is due. *puts on Flex by Fifth Harmony*

Moody January vibes… well, sort of.

Today, I’m channelling moody January vibes… or as my best friend Alex would like to call it – the signature Mr. Salt and Pepper look. That’s mainly because of this structured overcoat I’m wearing, get it? *rolls eyes*

The overall look has been put together from the Boxing Day sale items (yikes). After series of Twitter rants and moans about global capitalism and the 90s gay icon Melania Trump, I’ve decided to scout for some bargain on the high street. As you can see, money well spent! *avoids checking the credit card balance*

… Otherwise known as, an ode to everyone who's going mad about a chunky denim jacket by Tommy Hilfiger.

Several weeks ago, I was browsing through my favourite online retailer in the whole world – ASOS – and stumbled upon this quirky denim jacket from Tommy Hilfiger (see above)

At first, I wasn't so keen on Tommy as he's a little bit too preppy for my liking. HOWEVER, his denim collection (a.k.a. Tommy Jeans) has been slaying hard these past few years, so I've decided to give this one a go. Never mind the price tag (caught caught). *maxes out the credit card limit*

The jacket features classic borg collar and linen which add extra cosiness to the overall look, whilst embroidered "Tommy Jeans" logo on the back makes a strong fashion statement. You can really make this mixture of comfort and style work – if you know how to wear it well, ofc.

The cast of "Made in Chelsea" have been dying to get their hands on this trucker for weeks… But, sadly, no luck there, not even on eBay! All they can hope for is something cool for the summer.

Home for Christmas

Here we go again. It’s Christmas Eve and I see myself wandering around this manic city called London. The temperature has dropped below 10ºC and all I can think of is… layers, layers and more layers!

This year, I chose to make my own traditions and celebrate this festive season at my new home in Fitzrovia. I’ve reached that point in my life when I want to do things my own way and share the joy with people that make the biggest impact in my life.

Christmas Day in London is the quietest day of the year: there are not that many people around and TfL are taking their only day off. This might be my only opportunity to grab a Santander bike and explore the empty streets of London.

For this holiday season, I’ve decided to go for a very classic look: smart overcoat, complemented with a chunky knit jumper, super skinny jeans and brown leather boots. This, by no means, is a must-have set of clothing for anyone’s wardrobe.

Just imagine yourself wearing this ensemble and have your mother say “Well done mate, you sleigh this Christmas“. You never know, she may let you come home more often. Happy days!

So there you go, the first ever post on Mr Salt and Pepper, I hope you like it 🙂
