If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you probably saw me having the time of my life at the Mercedes-Benz event last week… Drinks, canapés, art installations and Tinie Tempah – oh, yasss! *rewatches his insta stories all over again* I had the unique opportunity to experience the brand new Mercedes-Benz X-Class before everyone else. This was my first ever car launch event and it exceeded all of my expectations!
The Mercedes-Benz X-Class is uniquely versatile. It can be used as a rugged, all-terrain pickup but also as a vehicle, perfect for urban lifestyles. Tough and stylish… Sounds just like me, right?
The event was held in South East London’s old Printworks factory. There were a total of 6 X-Class vehicles on display. One was used as an art object, bathed in changing lights and projected from a kaleidoscope. Another X-Class was utilised as a bar assistant filled with beer and ice, whilst the blue version of the pickup was used as a DJ stand for the exhibition area! So, there was a lot to experience through the night. *scrolls down to see more*
Everyone from our blogging community was there and we haven’t had so much fun since the Patron Tequila event last summer. Although we won’t bring this up again, okurrr?! *tries to erase memories from his drunken antics, yikes*
I can’t thank Mercedes-Benz enough for including me in this event! Check out the teaser trailer for The X-Class here:
So, what do you think about the brand new Mercedes-Benz X-Class? Let me know in the comments section below.
Stranger Things. Quite possibly the most hyped show of the streaming age. Last year, I binged my way through the first series in just 72 hours. *blimey* Insane? Yes. Regretful? Not at all!
I have been counting days until I get to watch season 2 and that day has finally come. Eleven, Mike Wheeler and his ghostbuster-like squad are back and ready to fight the creatures from the Upside Down. *cancels plans for the weekend*
We have so many questions left unanswered. I’m hoping to find out how Mike is connected with the Upside Down and whether Eleven will be reunited with the crew. Ahhh, I just can’t wait! *quickly downloads the whole show on his phone*
The Binge Club
This month, Three UK are launching the ‘Binge Club‘. It’s an online community that brings bingers together to discuss their favourite shows live. What makes Three stand out from the rest is that they allow their customers to stream content on their smartphones without using up their data allowance. You can stream music, series and TV at no extra cost. *jaw drops* So, they launched Binge Club to celebrate this life-saving feature and encourage people to consume more content on the go.
The first ever episode of Binge Club is based on the new season of “Stranger Things”. Pssst, the show is now available to stream on Netflix. *yasss* I’m super stoked to take part in this because I struggle to keep my fingers away from some serious spoiler alerts. *sorry not sorry*
The Binge Club host has just made the first announcement. Therefore, you can take part in the challenge here. The first task is to watch the first half of “Stranger Things 2” within the first 72 hours. Can you manage? I mean, really, CAN YOU MANAGE?! Once you have completed your first task, the host will then go live on Facebook to discuss the first half of the show with everyone. There’s a chance for you to share your knowledge and predict future events with other fans of the show.
So… Who’s binge-watching “Stranger Things 2” this weekend? Will you join the Binge Club?
Check out the new and final “Stranger Things 2” trailer below. Let’s go back to the Upside Down!
Thanks to Three UK for sponsoring this post. However, all views are my own. #GoBinge
For those who watch my daily Instagram stories, it may come as no surprise but for those who are yet to discover that side of me, I have a confession to make… Are you ready? *takes a deep breath* Erm, you see, the thing is… I love food. I mean, I eat all the time! From dirty American burgers to classic fish and chips, I often plea for help for my perfectly imbalanced diet. *avoids checking his weight on scales*
On Friday, I got invited to an influencer event at PITCH Stratford. Tucked away a few minutes down the road from Stratford station, this colourful outdoor oasis serves some serious 80s and 90s vibes. Abstract lighting, geometric shapes, and vibrant colours really set the tone for this venue. Therefore, we were all feeling our throwback oats! *plays “Push It” by Salt-N-Pepa and prances around the venue*
Gourmet hot dogs and bottomless prosecco.
During our visit at PITCH Stratford, we were offered a selection of quality street food and drinks. My blogger friends and I opted for some gourmet hot dogs from Tico’s and the most delicious dumplings from The Gyoza Guys. Jugs of PIMM’s and bottomless Prosecco enhanced our experience, whilst the DJ kept us entertained until late hours on a Friday. *dances like nobody is watching*
On Wednesday and Sunday evenings, PITCH Stratford shows a variety of films from the 80s, 90s and today. It’s almost the end of the season, so… Grab a bean bag, put on wireless headphones and enjoy a glass of rosé in this fabulous open air space. I believe that this might be the perfect spot to take my new flame to. *zero new messages on Tinder*
Let’s face it, going out is quite expensive! *rolls eyes*. Long gone are the days when a pint of beer used to cost less than a fiver and you could treat your squad with a round of drinks without breaking a bank. Times have changed but are we going to stay at home and do nothing? Most definitely not!
Luckily, the guys at Drinki are here to change the way we experience nightlife forever. Their intention is to make people go out more and to do so, they offer the first round on the house. *shook* Yes, that’s right, I’m talking about free drinks at hundreds of bars in London. From Espresso Martini at Grind to Mirrorball cocktail at Simmons, there are plenty of drinks to choose from.
After your first round, Drinki has exclusive drink offers available all night. You can collect ‘drinkis’ by sharing your referral code with your friends. It’s that simple. Once the happy hour kicks in, I round up my squad and get going! *puts on Diana Ross on shuffle* So, what are your plans this evening?
Last week, Drinki invited me to their summer party. *puts on his drinking hat* They teamed up with Emerald Street to throw a huge party with big tunes, exciting games and insanely strong (free) Margaritas. The party took place at The Brewhouse in East London.
I had the opportunity to meet the CEO of Drinki, Tariq Aris, who was shooting tequila shots from a toy gun into our mouths, all night. It was pretty insane! *tequila overdose* The atmosphere was very chilled, so my time there went by very quickly. I managed to make new friends, get a little bit tipsy and save a lot of money. Therefore, it’s a win win situation. Thanks Drinki! x
My childhood nightmares are being revisited! *yikes*
After 208 episodes, 10 series and 2 feature films, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are back once again as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in a new audio drama – The X-Files: Cold Cases!
Released on July 18th, X-Files: Cold Cases takes place after the events of X-Files: I Want To Believe. The audiobook tells the story of Mulder and Scully coming out of anonymity to face a growing conspiracy that involves not only their former investigation bureau but also the US government and creatures from out of this world. *hides under the bed* Expect a mind-blowing soundscape of liquefying aliens, hissing creatures and humming space crafts. Listeners get to experience The X-Files like never before, so there’s no better time to start your FREE trial with Audible!
I Want To Believe…
Last week, Audible invited me to witness a staged alien autopsy in the newly opened Postal Museum. This was my first ever immersive experience and it was perfect because I’m a huge fan of The X-Files. *duh* I spent most of my childhood watching (and rewatching) episodes of the hit TV series. Therefore, this was the most nostalgic day of my life.
Tasked with cracking a case from a never-before-released X-Files archive, I had to solve the mystery of the terrifying creature Flukeman’s escape and missing agent Scully. This one of a kind experience brought me closer to the world of Mulder and Scully as I used my senses and intuition to progress through a number of rooms. There was a lot of file-digging and sign-searching, which I really excelled at. *Who would’ve thought?!* Also, I managed to bring a little bit of comedy to this monstrous X-Files escapade with quirky one-liners and sass. Yasss!
