New Beginnings.

I’m not going to lie, I could’ve posted this as a Facebook status but I would rather strengthen my domain authority. *tongue pop*

Let’s start from the beginning. Back in June 2017, after 3 long (very long) years working as the Social Media Manager at this tiny digital media agency, I decided to part ways with them and spend my summer doing what I really love to do – create quality content for brands. I managed so save up enough money through social media and blogging, so I could live comfortably for quite some time… or at least until I find my dream job. No rush there. I call this #funemployment !

I spent the last 2 months writing my blog, creating content and networking at various PR events. My life was a never-ending fantasy. This was the first time since I moved to London where I felt like I really belong here. I needed an escape like this to really see the bigger picture.

I’ve been working with Takumi as their influencer since January 2017. From events to product reviews, every gig was more exciting than the other. My obsession with Takumi was ever-growing. I was checking my phone every 5 minutes to see what was next in store and when I found out that they were hiring – I had no other choice but to apply! *click click sent*

Today, I can proudly say that I joined Takumi as their Influencer Community Manager. *happy dance* I will be managing campaigns, working with influencers and potentially bringing my own clients to the platform.

What’s Takumi?!

Takumi is a micro-influencer platform, which helps brands and influencers to connect with each other and create bespoke visual content on Instagram. They’ve been working with brands such as Sony, Audible, Starbucks and Jack Wills to name a few. There’s an opportunity for content creators (like me) to expand their creative catalog, collaborate with global brands and make money whilst doing it! *make it rainnn, yasss*

I met so many talented people through Takumi, who I now call my dear friends. Actually, this particular picture was taken by Victoria (@philorose), who is the funniest person I know. I met Victoria at the Southern Comfort event several months ago where I was voluntarily taking Instagram-friendly pictures for her, Shelley (@shelleyannem) and Sonia (@soniafigone).

You know it’s a great friendship in the making, when you know exactly what sort of content they make without even looking at their feed. Great minds think alike, am I right? *struggles to pick just one party-themed emoji, so adds them all*
